The MOD 70 European Tour is a Trimaran race around Europe and one of the main stop-overs was Dun Laoghaire Harbour. Our brief for this event was to create a festival on the east pier of Dun Laoghaire Harbour. This 5 day event consisted of production and implementation of the whole festival from infrastructure, VIP corporate packages, PR, Marketing, security

This event turned out to be a huge success with footfall exceeding over 80,000. MOD 70 was extremely impressed with the overall festival and crowd attendance that they have decided return to Dun Laoghaire Harbour for another Stop-Over in June 2013.

In September 2012 we won the contract for Waterford Winterval 2012. Our brief was to input into the development and layout of the festival and market. Manage the selection process for the traders and provide a single point of contact for the traders. Manage all aspects of the trader’s activities and onsite trader’s activities. We also administered all fee’s payable by the trader’s to Waterford City Council.

This event turned out to be tremendous success pulling shoppers and family’s from surrounding towns Clonmel, Kilkenny, Carlow, Wexford and as far as Cork. Trade in Waterford City for the Christmas period was up by 30% from the previous year. The overall footfall was in excess of 100,000.

For the second year running Dún Laoghaire Christmas Festival took place on the metals and marine road, gift hunters were able to make a start on their Christmas wish list as they browsed around the illuminated Christmas market with German style wooden chalets. Vendors were selling a variety of hand crafted traditional Christmas gift and food lovers were able to taste a wide range of artisan foods which included; seasonal stews, gourmet crepes, and bratwurst’s BBQ.

Footfall for this event has grown steadily year on year, in 2012 the footfall was approximately 200,000.

The Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club Ltd. was founded in Cork during 1980 by a group of enthusiasts, who realised that the great interest which many people have for these cars, could best be served through an organised group.

Since then the Club has grown, moving its base to Dublin in 1981 and becoming a Limited Company in 1982. Throughout the 1980s and 90s membership increased steadily, celebrating its 25th anniversary with legendary Jaguar test driver Norman Dewis, and hosting visits by British, American and Australian Jaguar Owners Clubs.

Today the Irish Jaguar and Daimler Club Ltd. is regarded as one of Ireland’s premier car clubs and remains the only Irish club dedicated to the Jaguar, Daimler and SS marques.

At this event we caterer for a diverse audience and manage 3 food courts providing a large variety of food offerings.

The Terenure show is the largest annual car show in Ireland and can attract an attendance of over 15,000 people on a nice sunny day.

The Skerries races is one of the oldest and largest road races in the South of Ireland. Spanning over 40 years these races draw riders from all over Europe to compete in this nail biting sport.

Riders can race over 180 Kph down the straight and jump the Gillies leap at over 120 Kph bringing gasps of antisipation to the viewing crowds.

Absolute has been proud to manage the concessions at these races last year and have now signed a long term agreement for the next number of years.

Skerries and Killalane see in excess of 20,000 spectators line the roads for both their races and bring a great thrill of road racing to the South of Ireland.
